New! An electrifiable walk-through gate for electric fences. Simply lift the top bar of EasyGate to release the lock and go through.
- Quickly enter/exit paddocks without turning off the energizer
- Rigid design maintains shape (vs. soft gates)
- Swings open on a hinged support post for stability
- Stainless steel clips at each end provide electrical connectivity
Gates must be electrified in order to effectively contain livestock and deter predators. They are not a physical barrier.

Common Questions
- Do I need a PowerLink?
- It depends. If your gate will be a terminal end of the fence, you don’t need a PowerLink. Use the included stainless steel clip to power the gate.
A PowerLink is useful when your gate is positioned between two electric fences. It’s an insulated “jumper” that allows you to enter or exit the paddock without turning off the energizer. Simply unfasten the PowerLink’s alligator clamp before using the gate. Don’t forget to reconnect it when you’re done!
- Does it work with Pos/Neg Netting?
- No. However, it does work with all of our Pos/Pos standard netting.
Precautions
Warning! Due to risk of fire, do NOT use continuous output energizers with electric netting or electro-plastic conductors such as rope, twine or tape. Use only with a low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizer. (Fi-Shock™ brand energizers which are sold as low impedance, continuous current output should NOT be used with electric netting.) All energizers sold on Premier’s website use an intermittent pulse and are suitable for use with electric netting.
Dry conditions and wintertime usage may reduce the effectiveness of electric netting. We do not recommend the use of electric netting during harsh winter conditions—ice and heavy snow can flatten netting and thereby damage it.
Dry or frozen ground may cause post spikes to bend or break if inserted with force. Pilot holes may be needed.

Needs to be more sturdy and having to lift up so high on the opening side to get in the gate leaves opportunity for your chickens to get out. This product needs some tweaking.

We have 150' of the electric net fence around our coop/run to give our chickens more space to forage. We installed two of these gates to connect the 50' and 100' runs so we can access the front and back of the fenced yard. They were so easy to install and THEY WORK GREAT! I highly recommend them.

This gate is SO much more convenient than what I’ve been doing for the past two years with my electric fence, namely picking up the end spike and moving it in the morning, and moving it back when the hens are cooped up in the evening. My only criticism is that the included allen key isn’t very good, so I used my own tools for assembly.

This isn’t a good gate for poultry. I'm not a fan of the horizontal handle. You also need both hands to open and close the gate, which is irritating. A vertical bar/handle would be a much smarter design. The horizontal bar at the top is inviting for poultry to jump onto and over (already had a few get out this way). Probably a fine gate for sheep/goats.

This is the second EasyGate I have purchased from Premier 1, but this time it is the updated model. The updates have all been improvements! Super easy to put together with the allen wrench provided, took less than 10 minutes; no other tools needed at all. The slot on the ground to place the gate into was a much needed feature and I’m glad to see it in this new version as that was my main issue with the old one.
