- Quickly enter/exit paddocks without turning off the energizer

- Stainless steel clips at each end provide electrical connectivity
Gates must be electrified in order to effectively contain livestock and deter predators. They are not a physical barrier.

Common Questions
- Do I need a PowerLink?
- It depends. If your gate will be a terminal end of the fence, you don’t need a PowerLink. Use the included stainless steel clip to power the gate.
A PowerLink is useful when your gate is positioned between two electric fences. It’s an insulated “jumper” that allows you to enter or exit the paddock without turning off the energizer. Simply unfasten the PowerLink’s alligator clamp before using the gate. Don’t forget to reconnect it when you’re done!
- Does it work with Pos/Neg Netting?
- No. However, it does work with all of our Pos/Pos standard netting.
Precautions
Warning! Due to risk of fire, do NOT use continuous output energizers with electric netting or electro-plastic conductors such as rope, twine or tape. Use only with a low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizer. (Fi-Shock™ brand energizers which are sold as low impedance, continuous current output should NOT be used with electric netting.) All energizers sold on Premier’s website use an intermittent pulse and are suitable for use with electric netting.
Dry conditions and wintertime usage may reduce the effectiveness of electric netting. We do not recommend the use of electric netting during harsh winter conditions—ice and heavy snow can flatten netting and thereby damage it.
Dry or frozen ground may cause post spikes to bend or break if inserted with force. Pilot holes may be needed.

This gate was easy to set up and install. It takes getting used to opening and closing, but works great!

Great idea and execution!

A much better, sturdier design than the floppy net gate we purchased originally with our net wire fencing. It was easy to set up and install, and I would recommend purchasing it over the floppy gate, except it isn’t as wide, which may be a consideration. The only annoying aspect is having to lift and slide the gate up on the hinged side in order to open and close it. It is sticky and requires both hands to pry the gate upward each time. Maybe some WD-40 would help.

The gate works as advertised, easy install. Just seems a little flimsy.

The Allen wrench was missing from my kit, but it was not a big deal. I used an Allen bit for the drill. Easy to put together and install in the fence.
However, unless I am severely uncoordinated or doing something very wrong, I do not see how the advertising of one hand usage is realistic. It is definitely one handed to open, but not really one handed to close. When you lift the gate off the pole, the tension slackens a little, so trying to pull it back over the pole to reclose it from the top of a 48 inch pole, while also getting the bottom part into its holder, is pretty difficult to do one handed, especially if you have feed buckets or something in your other hand.
At the end of the day, it serves the purpose I need. I wish they made it in the green color so it matched the rest of the fence, but that is not a big deal. I still prefer this to the soft gate for sure!
