So glad we got this! Until now we’ve been using a heater bulb in one of those aluminum shop lamp cones and this lamp stand is a 100% improvement. It’s provided so much peace of mind having the safety cage around the bulb itself, and the stand is far easier to work with than trying to clip a shop lamp onto a mister tripod, as we’d been doing. The stand makes it easy to raise and lower the lamp by adjusting the chain length via the hook on top, and I’m much more at ease now that we’ve virtually eliminated the fire risk.
We keep chicks under 3 weeks old in a big plastic swimming pool with a brooder lined with heating pads inside that, and the heat lamp stand is easy to pick up and move in or out of the pool as needed so we can clean. I’m so glad we finally got serious with the brooder products and stopped trying to cobble things together ourselves. The lamp cage and stand are the kinds of things we never should have tried to improvise. Wish we’d started with them 3 years ago, with our first batch of chicks.

These Premier 1 heat lamp stands are very sturdy and very easy to put together. Over the years Premier 1 has changed and perfected these stands. These stands seem to be the perfect stand. I can’t see where they can improve them further.

Works fine but not the quality I had hoped for. The legs are made of cheap Chinese plastic. Next time I will probably go for a stainless steel tripod stand elsewhere. Disappointed.

This stand is so much safer to use than trying to clip a heat lamp on the box. Easy to put together and works great with the Prima Heat Lamp!

The lamp stand is very sturdy and I am able to adjust the heat lamp’s distance very easily. Shipping was fast.
