Just as I read in other reviews, IT LEAKS.

Unreliable and overcomplicated. I have had two of these for over a year and I would like to like them for the ease of filling and the feet that keep them off the ground. However, there are too many parts to get it assembled just right. If any part is just not quite right, you either don’t get water flow or it all just flows out. The float valve is prone to filling with water and not floating. The triangle valve is very easily lost. A chicken waterer needs to be simple and reliable. I would not recommend.

Love the convenience of just lifting a lid to refill. I clean it out and the little parts once a week to ensure it doesn’t clog. Pay attention to proper assembly, so you don’t install things upside down or facing the wrong way, especially the big screw plug in the bottom so it doesn’t leak. Directions could be better and the sheets were blurred ink, so a bit difficult to read, but if you’re handy, you can easily figure things out.
I also highly recommend the legs. Finally, legs that are tall enough for adult chickens and turkeys. The water stays much cleaner than shorter legs or having to raise on blocks or some such.

The best waterer we have. I just bought a second one. It's the only waterer that has a big enough saucer for turkeys to drink from. To get five stars, the float needs not to leak. I wrap the seam on my floats with waterproof tape to make the waterer work reliably.

This waterer is amazing when it works. Holds a ton, big open area for birds to drink, and lets out fresh water. However there are a lot of different parts and more parts means more stuff to go wrong. Premier sells extra replacement parts and that’s fantastic, but I want to set it and forget it. I’m always messing with this because it either works, or it’s overflowing and leaving water everywhere. My problem was the float somehow filled with water and wasn’t floating. I have 100 chickens, various other animals, and an office job to pay for it all I don’t have time to be playing with a finicky waterer. If you are retired, like to tinker and check on things…this is for you because it’s a ton of water and easy to clean when it works, but that’s only half the time.
