Tips
- When attaching bracket to backside of solar panel it helps to think of the two metal plates as a clamp. The trick is to first assemble the clamp loosely with the bolts. Then slide the clamp onto the lip on the back of the solar panel's frame. (The larger plate goes over, the smaller plate slides under.) Position the clamp where it works best for your application and tighten the bolts. Note: The holes on the frame of the solar panel will not be used.
- Mount the solar panel so it is in full sun facing south.
- Mount the power pack to an inside wall to keep it out of the elements. Securely fasten it so it's not dangling.
- Make sure that the solar panel has had adequate time to charge the power pack (normally 6-8 hours of sun exposure).
- Activate switch on power pack; then use the switch on each light cord to turn the lights on/off as needed.

Bought this shed light for my chicken coop. Was easy to install, was sporting full charge when it arrived. All the hardware for installation was provided. The mounting screw for the battery pack is the only negative, it has a tiny head and is very skinny. It required pre-drilling. The slot that the head fits it in doesn’t accommodate a bigger screw head so changing it out for a self tapper wasn’t an option. Just a minor inconvenience. It holds a charge all night and the girls seem happy with their new ambience.

These lights were very, very easy to put up. There are two lights, so two different areas can be lit, turned on and on by the click of a switch. The light is bright enough to illuminate everything I need to see in the barn. The light temperature gives me the feeling of moonlight, which I enjoy.

I bought this light 4 years ago and it is still working. I use it almost daily in my barn, although only for about 30 mins 2x/day. All the cheap lights I’ve bought from the big name retailers either don’t work from the start or stop working within a year. I’m so impressed that this one is still going. I also love that it has a simple on/off switch vs several settings that I don’t need. Highly recommended.

So far, this system is working well. Power cord from panel to controller seems to be too light duty. For my application, having the light toggle switches closer to the controller would work better.
