I really like the transparent cylinder. It helps monitor feed levels.

I had a hard time finding a feeder that would allow me to leave my seven 6-month old chicks under limited supervision for a week and give some protection from rain/snow. The feeder is in the run under a tarp, but our sideways storms get everything wet. It was bigger than I expected but I probably didn’t read the details closely enough. We had to carve out the plastic parts a bit for the pieces to fit together and we’ll see how long the plastic lasts in our climate on Cape Cod.

These feeders are very good at feeding all the chickens. They can’t waste any food nor can they poop in there.

We used the first one we ordered for nearly a year when the rod through the center of the bottom clipping into the hanger holding the cover on which broke, dumping all the food out on the floor. We put tape over the opening where the rod came through 6 months ago and it has function well since.
We ordered another one and it arrived broken and was replaced quickly. (Great service!)
We installed the replacement 3 days ago and found the rod broken exactly as the first one and the feeder emptied all over the floor. The rod attaches into the hanger opening with 2 notched extensions. One of the extensions broke off at the level of the bottom of the notch. The plastic is quite thin for holding that amount of feed but has performed ok when we covered the hole in the bottom.
I cannot recommend this particular feeder unless it is reengineered. The smaller feeders work stellar. A picture is being sent.

Great feeder! I have had one for over five years in the hot humid swamps of South Carolina and it has held up well. So, I ordered two more. I’m very pleased with Premier 1, fast delivery and excellent communication.
